What is ClearCorrect?

ClearCorrect is an orthodontic system that uses clear aligners to help straighten your teeth. Whether you’re the parent of child in need of orthodontic care, or you’ve been wanting braces yourself, ClearCorrect is a great alternative to traditional orthodontics because it’s completely clear. The system is virtually invisible to the naked eye, and is completely removable. ClearCorrect is ideal for teens and adults seeking quick, convenient, and easy orthodontic treatment.

Why is ClearCorrect needed?

When your smile is crooked, crowded, or unevenly spaced, this doesn’t just have an impact on your confidence, it can affect your overall dental health. You may find it difficult, or even impossible, to properly care for your teeth, and flossing around crowded, crooked teeth may be a chore for you. ClearCorrect is designed to correct most orthodontic problems. In some cases, it can take just months to have a beautiful, perfectly straight smile.

Who’s a candidate for ClearCorrect?

Dr. Ferdkoff will examine your teeth to determine if ClearCorrect is the right solution for you. For patients with severe orthodontic problems, we may suggest additional treatment alongside ClearCorrect to ensure the best possible results. However, the ClearCorrect system is ideal for teens and adults looking for a viable alternative to traditional metal braces. In order for the treatment to be successful, you must wear your aligner trays for at least 22 hours each day, or treatment will be delayed or halted.

What happens during ClearCorrect treatment?

The first step in treatment involves consulting with you or your child to help develop a personalized treatment plan that best fits your orthodontic needs. This consultation will often involve x-rays, impressions, and an examination. We use these impressions to make your very first set of ClearCorrect trays. Once receiving the trays, you’ll be instructed on how to remove and insert the trays, and when to wear them. You will need to come in for subsequent appointments, so that we can make new ClearCorrect trays for you. You will go through many aligner trays during the course of your treatment, as each new set will bring your teeth closer to being straight. Treatment can take anywhere from a few months to several years depending on your current smile.
